Coin Strike
Coin Strike is one of those games that explains itself in ten seconds and then quietly eats your afternoon. You flick coins across a board, trying to land them on marked tiles and chain combos before the timer resets. The physics are tuned just right, so a soft tap and a hard swipe produce genuinely different arcs.
What won me over was the control feel. Everything responds instantly, there's no weird input lag, and the later stages introduce moving targets and tilted boards that force you to adjust your aim on the fly. It's the kind of game where a near-miss makes you immediately want another go.
It runs smoothly even on an older phone, and sessions are short enough for a bus ride but deep enough that you keep chasing a better score. The difficulty ramp is fair, which I appreciated after so many arcade games that spike out of nowhere.
What we liked
- Instant, precise touch controls
- Short sessions that still feel satisfying
- Runs well on modest hardware
